Matthew Geelan joined Donahue, Durham & Noonan, P.C. in 2005. Attorney Geelan’s practice encompasses a range of areas, and includes defending and advising clients in connection with complex health care law, employment discrimination, professional liability and personal injury matters. Prior to joining Donahue, Durham & Noonan, P.C., Attorney Geelan was a Court Officer for the Honorable Arnold W. Aronson with the Connecticut Tax & Administrative Appeals Court. He also served as a Legal Research Clerk for Connecticut Superior Court.

Attorney Geelan graduated from the University of Connecticut Magna Cum Laude in 1999 and was awarded his J.D. from the University of Connecticut School of Law in 2002. While a student at the University of Connecticut School of Law, Attorney Geelan received the 2002 Connecticut Conference of Municipalities prize for scholastic achievement in the area of municipal law for his paper entitled Land Use Controls and the Expansion of Tweed-New Haven Airport. He is also a member of Phi Beta Kappa.

Attorney Geelan has been recognized as a "Rising Star" by Connecticut Super Lawyers in 2013, 2014 and 2015.

Attorney Geelan is admitted to the state and federal courts in Connecticut. He is also a member of the Connecticut Bar Association.

Attorney Geelan lives in Branford, Connecticut with his wife and two children. He is an active participant in the Closer to Free Ride for Smilow Cancer Hospital at Yale New Haven.
