Lawrence D. Paelet is a nurse attorney specializing in the defense of medical malpractice claims. As part of his representation of hospitals and health care professionals, he conducts medical records reviews, coordinates the work of expert witnesses, and prepares cases for trial. He is an alumnus of Southern Connecticut State University (BA, Economics), the University of Connecticut (JD/MBA), and Fairfield University (BSN).

Prior to joining Donahue, Durham and Noonan, Attorney Paelet was a hospice and palliative care nurse at the Department of Veterans' Affairs, West Haven campus. He has also worked, in a finance and legal capacity, for the Bentley Asset Group and for the structured-settlements spin-off of Millennium Partners. As a law student under the tutelage of Professor John Brittain, Attorney Paelet was the author of the Connecticut Small Business Development Center publication "A Legal Guide for Connecticut Entrepreneurs."

Attorney Paelet is a member (and previous Vice-Chairman) of the Board of Directors of the Farrell Treatment Center, where he serves on the Employee Resources committee. He and his wife Judy have volunteered for a number of local organizations and events, including the Bushnell Center for the Performing Arts, the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program, the Shoreline Greenway Trail, the Great Connecticut Jazz Festival, and the Guilford Peace Alliance.
